DESCRIPTION
In a Christian’s Walk, the three enemies are the world, the flesh, and the devil. Every Christian faces the choice of either serving God or yielding to these influences.
Much like the children of Israel we may verbally declare our commitment to serve God, but fail to put away the idols in our lives through our actions. The only obstacle preventing us from serving God is ourselves, as God gives us all a choice. In this day and age, many believe they are serving God but in their actions are serving themselves and the devil. It is at the utmost importance to reflect on our daily actions if we are truly serving God.
Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
The question is, whom are you serving?
